SMEP 100 Exploring Marine and Environmental Programs (1 Credit Hours)
This course introduces students to the different opportunities available to them through the School of Marine & Environmental Programs (SMEP). Students will become familiar with the major options, research projects, internships, outreach, current events and people working in SMEP. This course will also present educational expectations and standard research practices to prepare students for further study in marine and environmental related disciplines. Discussion will be emphasized in order to build a strong community among the students and facilitate future collaboration.
Academic Level: Undergraduate
Enrollment is limited to students with a major in Aquacult Aquar Sci Aquaponics, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Marine Affairs, Marine Entrepreneurship, Mar Sci Mar Bio, Mar Sci Oceanography, Marine Science, Sustainable Eco Aquaculture, Sustainability Business or Sustainability Business.
