Art History Survey I presents the history of art as a global and interdisciplinary practice. Introduces architecture and artistic expression from prehistoric eras to the medieval world. Develops visual literacy, analytical and critical thinking, research and writing, and interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.

Develops visual literacy, analytical and critical thinking, research and writing, and interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.

ARH 270 Art in the Modern World (3 Credit Hours)
Focusing largely on art since 1940 to the present day this course examines art’s evolution in response to historical, social,
cultural, and technological developments of the modern condition. This course considers modern art’s influence across history,
and its role in shaping the human experience, refines visual literacy, analytical and critical thinking, research and writing,
as well as interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.

ARH 322G History of Spanish Art (3 Credit Hours)
A survey of major works of art from prehistoric times through the present. Painting, sculpture and architecture are examined in the context of their time and place in history. Special attention is given to the art and culture of Seville. Conducted in English.
